The Barouni Olive Tree was developed in Tunisia, Africa, and is the olive commonly used for curing olives at home. Barouni Olive trees have a low, spreading habit that makes it easy to harvest arguably one of the best table olives in existence. Research conducted at California Universities have shown the Barouni Olive to be very resistant to cold temperatures and still produces beautiful, green fruit.
