Flavor Supreme Pluots are an interspecific cross between a plum and an apricot. They are 75% plum and 25% apricot genetics, blending the best parts of each into one extremely delicious, juicy fruit that has a Brix rating of 17. Flavor Supreme Pluots have a distinct grey-green skin with red speckles. They are pollinated by other pluots or early-blooming Japanese plums. A hardiness zone is a geographic area defined by average annual minimum winter temperatures, helping gardeners determine which plants can survive in their region. Developed by the USDA, the 13 numerical zones indicate cold hardiness—for example, a plant "hardy to zone 10" tolerates minimum temperatures of 30 to 40 °F (−1.1 to 4.4 °C).
