The Rebel Southern Highbush blueberry is a heat-tolerant, fast-growing variety that produces large, firm, light-blue berries. This early season variety was released by the University of Georgia in 2006 and is an excellent choice for home-growers as well as commercial plantings. Rebel is partially self-fertile and grows up to 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide. Plant with another early season Southern Highbush variety for higher yields. Requires 350-450 chill hours and grows well in zones 7-10.
