About Cucumber Magnolia...The Cucumber Magnolia also known as the Yellow Magnolia develops a pyramidal shape with broad spreading branches reaching 50-80 ft and produces a slightly fragrant greenish yellow flower in the Spring that shows a small knobby fruit resembling a cucumber with pinkish red seeds. The leaf of this stunning magnolia is 6-10 ft long and turns a reddish-brown to golden-yellow in the Fall. It grows well in full sun to partial shade in moist well-drained soil. |
