Damson

Damson plums are one of the most popular and commonly found plums sold at your local grocery. They are round to oblong in shape and have smooth, shiny, deep purple to black skin. The firm amber flesh is very tasty with a spicy, tart flavor. Damson plums are great for fresh eating, cooking, jam, or making wine. The trees grow 12-15 feet tall, are self fertile, and require 300-400 chill hours.
