About the Southern Highbush Blueberry Plant...The Southern Highbush blueberry is a cross between Northern Highbush blueberries and native Southern species, giving it a greater range of adaptation than either of its parents. The Southern Highbush tolerates a wider range of soil conditions and temperature variations. The fruits are smaller than Rabbiteye blueberries but no less tasty. Southern Highbush blueberries are becoming more popular for both home and commercial plantings for the production of delicious berries before Rabbiteye blueberries start ripening. The Southern Highbush blueberry is an excellent choice for Gulf Coastal States but also for people in the upper south or middle states like Virginia or Kentucky. (The varieties we offer are O'NEAL, SHARP BLUE, and MISTY.) (Zones 6b - 9) To order, call us toll-free at: 1-866-586-6283 |
