The Tulip Tree, Liriodendron tulipifera, is a fast growing tree, reaching up to 60 feet tall by 30 feet wide in the city, and often larger when planted out in suburban and wild areas. It has a bright yellow fall color, even in warmer climates, and tulip shaped flowers that bloom in the spring after the tree reaches 12 or more years of age. |
