About Royal Purple Smoke Tree...The Royal Purple Smoketree is small, slow growing, open crown, round tree that is perfect for a shrub border, small areas and container or above-ground planters. The wispy purple colored flowers produced in late Spring or early Summer give the effect of a cloud of smoke. This cultivar has a height of 12-15 ft. with a 10-18 ft. spread. It keeps the deep purple leaves all Summer and then they turn a spectacular rich red-purple in the Fall. The Royal Purple Smoketree is worth growing just for the Fall beauty. |
