About Montmorency Cherry Tree...The Montmorency is the most popular pie and dessert cherry in North America. It's large, bright red fruit is very attractive, with firm yellow flesh. It is very cold tolerant, and disease resistant. This heavy producer of excellent sour cherries is also highly prized for its medicinal properties. The Montmorency is self-fertile and ripens in late-July. Montmorency requires 900 to 1000 chill hours. |
