The Cavendish Banana Tree is a South American banana that produces high quality and commercial quantities of large bunches of full sized fruit. The Cavendish Banana Tree can grow upwards of 17 ft. in the Southeast with leaves that measure 2 ft wide and 6 ft long. This is the primary variety sold in U.S. grocery stores.
